Injectables

Injectables are a great alternative to cosmetic surgery and prove a safe and affordable treatment. Dermal fillers and collagen stimulators (Sculptra) will smooth out static lines, whereas anti wrinkle injections will soften the dynamic wrinkles and PrP stimulates the body’s own growth factors for a natural regeneration.

Over the years injectables have taken a sizeable slice of the aesthetic market simply for the fact that when performed by trained and experienced hands they deliver a natural change for a low cost. Anti-wrinkle injections last 3-4 months for the average person but on the plus side it tends to be a true “lunch time” therapy that can be performed in a short time. Dermal fillers and collagen stimulators take a little more time as a good hand with an aesthetic eye are required here. In moderation they are a repeatable treatment providing beautiful changes. PrP on the other gives soft changes but when used in a combination therapy gives a beautiful subtle change with the need for toxins or synthetic substances.

FAQ

Anti-wrinkle injections for wrinkles are an extremely safe procedure. In our clinics we use anti-wrinkle injections with great success to treat dynamic wrinkles (those lines that form in skin where the underlying muscles are used frequently e.g. around the eyes, on the forehead and the area between the eyes. What are the possible side effects of anti-wrinkle injections?
Slight discomfort
Mild bruising
Less common side effects:
Headaches
Slight drooping of the eyelid that usually resolves.
Long term side-effects have been not been recorded.

Face, lip wrinkles, décolletage, neck, hands

No. This is a reversible treatment and there are no permanent effects. In fact, your skin is likely to have benefited from the period of reduced muscle contraction, as wrinkle formation is slower during this time.

The treatment is straight forward. At EA Clinic, we use very fine needles to place small amounts of Teosyal Meso beneath the surface of the skin. The treatment generally takes 30 minutes, depending on the area treated and is generally not painful. Quite often an anaesthetic cream is applied prior to treatment. Most people will return to work immediately after this procedure.

The result lasts 6-12 months.

Do not use if you are pregnant, breast feeding.

After the treatment some common injection-related reactions might occur, such as swelling, redness, pain, itching, discoloration and tenderness at the injection site. These typically resolve within 2 to 10 days. Mild bruising or a slight blush might appear at the injection site immediately following treatment and may last for 2-10 days.

Anti-wrinkle injections contains a highly purified protein, when injected in to the muscles the product relaxes the area and result in a reduced muscle activity. It therefore softens lines and wrinkles. It takes approximately 1 to 2 weeks to see the effect of the anti-wrinkle injections.
What are the common treatment areas:
‘Frown lines [Glabellar]: Between the eyebrows
‘Forehead’: Horizontal lines emphasised on raising your eyebrows on the forehead
‘Crows feet’: Lines to the side of the eyes
‘Bunny lines’ [o the upper side of the nose
‘Brow Lift’: Lifting of the eyebrows

Individuals with a history on a neuromuscular disorder such as multiple sclerosis (MS) or Guillian-Barre Syndrome are not candidates for anti-wrinkle injections. You cannot receive anti-wrinkle injections if you have an infection where the anti-wrinkle injections will be injected, are allergic to any of the ingredients in anti-wrinkle injections or are pregnant. Some conditions may increase the chance of infection. Our doctor will review your medical history before you receive anti-wrinkle injections.

How does it work?

The HA filler is injected into the lips to define the lip borders and/or create a fuller, plumped-out effect. As much or as little filler as required will be injected to give a subtle or more dramatic result.

Yes. Sculptra® is an injectable that subtly and gradually over weeks provides a more youthful-looking appearance. Sculptra is made of Poly-L-Lactic acid and gently helps stimulate your own natural collagen production. This helps restore and increase facial volume that is being lost to aging-.

Sculptra is for healthy individuals with normal immunity as a one-time treatment regimen of up to four injection sessions that are scheduled about three weeks apart.

Small quantities of filler are injected into the border of the lips or body of the lip depending on the desired effect. The process may be uncomfortable and topical local anaesthetic creams may be applied to reduce any discomfort. It usually takes approximately 30 minutes and the effects are instant.

We perform ablative lasering. Depending on the amount of downtime the patient can tolerate or permit we will choose between the Pixel, Erbium YAG and Ultrapulse CO2 laser. Usually several sessions are required to see a 60-80% improvement. On fairer skin types the Ultrapulse CO2 laser performs the best and requires less sessions.
