As our skin ages, it loses the collagen that helps shape and support it. Natural lines and wrinkles deepen. Sun exposure, smoking, air pollution and even stress can all age your appearance. The facial features will begin to lose volume giving sunken cheeks and jowling, ‘dragged down’ appearance.
Our range of premium dermal filler treatments – include Juvederm®, Teosyal® and Sculptra® – and can address all these problems, without the need for surgery. These are the good products and achieve a smoother, more natural and youthful looking skin.
A personal treatment plan will be created during your consultation and our practitioner might include a combination of dermal filler techniques.
Dermal fillers offer a gentle and safe anti-ageing treatment for long-lasting skin renewal without the need for surgery. They are also effective in restoring loss of volume to enhance lips and cheekbones and cheeks.

Two of the safest and most effective products, both of which are supported by significant clinical studies are hyaluronic acid dermal fillers such as Juvéderm® Ultra and Teosyal®. They consist of a soft colourless injectable stabilised hyaluronic acid – a naturally occurring substance in the skin that helps to add volume and hydration.
As the levels of hyaluronic acid diminish with age, moisture is lost in our skin. These dermal fillers revitalise the skin, instantly diminishing the appearance of lines and wrinkles.
As each product has different benefits and effects, your practitioner will decide which one is correct for you and your individual requirements.
You may choose to have the area slightly numbed first with a topical anaesthetic cream, although this is no longer necessary as most products used contain an anaesthetic in the product.
There may be some mild post-treatment discomfort, e.g. swelling, disomfort, itching, redness, bruising or tenderness at the treatment site, but the majority of these usually subside after a few hours or a little longer.
Can dermal fillers be used with Botox?
How long do the results last?
Followup treatments are usually after 6-9 months.
Are dermal fillers suitable for every age and skin type?
Dermal fillers do not have an upper or lower age limit, however we do not advise nor perform the treatment for children. Thin skin requires a different treatment from someone with thicker skin. We will carefully assess your skin before selecting a suitable dermal filler.
Are dermal fillers just for women?
No both men and women may have the treatment performed.
What is the risk of allergic reactions?
Juvéderm and Teosyal Puresense products both mimic the body’s own hyaluronic acid thus the risk of an allergic reaction is reduced.
What can and can’t I do after the treatment?
You can carry on with your normal daily activities as any redness can be covered with make-up. It is advisable, however, not to expose the treated area to strong sunlight for two to three days post treatment and to leave the area alone to settle for 48 hours. Facial massages are not recommended for 2 weeks post treatment and swimming pools are best avoided for a week.
Will there be any after-effects?
Sometimes you may have some mild redness, swelling or bruising following dermal fillers but this usually subsides within a couple of days, and can be covered with make-up.
Does it hurt?
Both Juvéderm and Teosyal Puresense dermal fillers now contain a local anaesthetic for a more comfortable experience.
How long does the treatment take?
Dermal fillers take 30-45 minutes depending on the number of lines and wrinkles being treated.
How safe is hyaluronic acid?
Hyaluronic acid is made from non-animal products and is totally natural. It has been used for many years without any serious long-term side effects.
What do dermal fillers contain and what do they look like?
The products contain water and hyaluronic acid with or without a local anaesthetic and have the appearance of clear gels.
Will I need a skin test first?
Our dermal fillers do not require a skin test first as they do not contain any animal-derived products.
Which parts of the body are suitable for dermal fillers?
Face, neck, decolletage and hands.
