Dermal Filler (Neck)

As our neck skin ages, it loses the collagen that helps shape and support it. The skin thins, lines and wrinkles deepen. EA Clinic’s range of premium Dermal Filler treatments will address all these problems, without the need for surgery.

Dermal fillers offer a gentle and safe anti-ageing treatment for skin rejuvenation without surgery. They are also effective in restoring loss of volume to the neck. As part of a course they achieve a fresher and natural appearance by reducing fine and deep lines. By injecting fillers along the jawline and below the ear can lift the sagging skin by a couple of millimetres, giving a taught and youthful appearance.

Three of the safest and most effective products, both of which are supported by significant clinical studies are hyaluronic acid dermal fillers such as Juvéderm® Hydrate, Restylane and Teosyal RHA 1®. They consist of a soft colourless injectable stabilised hyaluronic acid – a naturally occurring substance in the skin that helps to add volume and hydration. As the levels of hyaluronic acid diminish with age, moisture is lost in our skin. These dermal fillers revitalise the skin, instantly diminishing the appearance of lines and wrinkles.

Our dermal fillers do not require a skin test first as they do not contain any animal-derived products.

The products contain water and hyaluronic acid with or without a local anaesthetic and have the appearance of clear gels.

Hyaluronic acid is made from non-animal products and is totally natural. It has been used for many years without any serious long-term side effects.

Dermal fillers take 30-45 minutes depending on the area, number of lines and wrinkles being treated.

The technique on the neck relies on small microdeposits of filler under the skin that leave small raised areas on the neck for a day or two. Sometimes you may also have some mild redness, swelling or bruising following dermal fillers but this usually subsides within a couple of days, and can be covered with make-up.

You can carry on with your normal daily activities as any redness can be covered with make-up. It is advisable, however, not to expose the treated area to strong sunlight for two to three days post treatment and to leave the area alone to settle for 48 hours. Swimming pools are best avoided for a week.
